What are Stepping Stones?

Modified on Thu, 25 Jun at 3:36 PM

Stepping Stones are the checkpoints children move through as they progress along the Reading Eggs learning map. Each one represents a stage of skill development and shows your child’s progress through the program.

As children complete lessons, they move from one Stepping Stone to the next, building reading skills step by step across phonics, sight words, fluency, and comprehension.

When a child achieves 100% on a lesson quiz, they earn a Golden Stepping Stone, which highlights mastery of that stage and visually marks progress on the map.
