To give your child the strongest possible start, we suggest diving into the lessons at the earliest opportunity. Early engagement supports confidence, reinforces learning, and builds momentum from day one — with progress that speaks for itself.
Get started in 2 steps
1. Log in to your account and select the child you would like to begin learning with.
2. Choose your program
The best place to start depends on your child's age and current reading level.
- Ages 2–4 Reading Eggs Junior – Early learning and play-based activities that build foundational skills.
- Ages 3–7 (learning to read):Reading Eggs – The recommended starting point for most children beginning their reading journey.
- Ages 7–13 (already reading):Reading Eggspress – Focuses on reading comprehension, fluency, and literacy skills.
- Ages 5–10 (extra phonics support):Fast Phonics – Provides additional phonics practice to support reading development.
- Ages 3–9 (maths) Mathseeds & Mathseeds Prime – Builds essential maths skills through engaging, interactive lessons.
If you're unsure where to begin, we recommend starting with the program that best matches your child's current reading ability rather than their age
Begin lessons
After selecting a program:
In Reading Eggs, Reading Eggspress and Mathseeds, select the Lessons tab.
In Fast Phonics, select Peaks.
In Mathseeds Prime, select Lesson Trees.
You can then:
Take the placement test (recommended), or
Start from the first lesson.
The placement test automatically places your child at the right level.
What to expect
Lessons are self-paced and interactive.
Children earn rewards as they progress.
You can track progress at any time from your Family Dashboard by selecting ‘Reports’ in the student profile menu.
Helpful tip
Short, regular sessions (10–15 minutes per day for younger learners) deliver the best results.
