Here are a few things you can do to try and resolve your issue and get the program working better.
1. Please ensure that your iPad meets our minimum technical requirements: https://readingeggs.com/technical-requirements/
2. Please ensure you have high-speed WiFi internet access
3. Please make sure your iPad’s software is up to date.
You can check what version you are running by going to Settings > General > About
You can update your software by going to Settings > General > Software > Software update
4. Please ensure you are running the most up-to-date version of the Reading Eggs app
You can check if there are any available updates by visiting the App Store > Updates (select update icon at bottom of the screen) > Find the Reading Eggs App in the list and select ‘Update’ if the option is available
5. Log all the way out and back into your Reading Eggs account
Click the waving ‘Bye’ hand on the student dashboard
Click the round logout button on the bottom right-hand corner of the Reading Eggs program selection page (top right-hand for Reading Eggspress)
From the family dashboard select My Account > Log out
6. Close and restart the Reading Eggs application
Double click the home button and swipe up on the Reading Eggs window to close the program
7. Make sure you don't have many applications running in the background
To check this, double-click the home button and close any open applications by swiping up on each window
8. Make sure you have a good amount of free storage/memory on your device
To check this go to Settings > General > Usage Storage and look for available memory
9. Hard reset
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake (On/Off) button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds until the Apple logo appears
10. Ensure that JavaScript is enabled on your device
To check this go to Settings > Safari > Advanced and toggle the JavaScript to 'on'
11. Delete and re-install the Reading Eggs app
Tap and hold the Reading Eggs app icon until all the app icons begin to wiggle
A small cross will appear at the top right-hand corner of the Reading Eggs icon, tap on this cross then select 'delete'
Go to the App store and download the app again.
